What is with the price of fuel at the truckstops? Almost everywhere I travel , Diesel fuel at regular gas stations is lower than that of Gasoline, yet at Truckstops in the same area the price of Diesel is 10 to 25  cents higher per gallon than the gas stations in the same area. Isn't it bad enough that truckstops charge higher than convenience store prices for everything else they sell?

I know truckers are a captive group of customers being as they have little choice where they fuel, but this is rediculous. Seems like "price gouging" to me. Each truck fillup takes somewhere between 100-200 gallons and they see hundreds of trucks per day, plus the gas customers. Suposedly this country is on a economic recovery, but gouging the trucking industry on fuel prices only drives up the cost of consumer goods, and further deteriorates the economy. With freight rates going down, fuel going up, more trucking companies will be going into bankruptcy and the drivers that work for them will be unemployed. How does that help the economy?

There is always a public outcry on price gouging during or after disasters! No one notices when it's the trucking industry taking the hit, otherwise it would be in the news. Truckstops are in business to make a profit, But 10-25 cents per gallon more than regular gas stations is a bit much, especially with the volume of fuel they sell daily.
